You've left an abusive home with your mum. Now you are in a safe house, miles from your old home. You have no friends, no contact with the rest of your family. You could only bring a few things with you.
Football has been your life until now. But you had to leave all your kit and your old club behind. Step Up can buy you a new strip and boots and make sure you have enough money to join a new club and get to training each week. You will start to make new friends who share your passion and begin to rebuild your life.
Or you love music. You listen to it all the time. But you've never had any lessons. Step Up will pay for you to learn the guitar, the drums or the double bass - whatever it is that makes your heart beat faster.
At Step Up, we want to provide hope and opportunity for children facing these challenging circumstances. We do that by helping each child to find their spark.
Step Up provides hope and opportunity for children escaping domestic violence. We help each child to find their spark by funding sport and creative activities.
Step Up is a small, focused UK charity working in partnership with safe houses across the East of England, in Cambridgeshire, Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk. We are staffed entirely by volunteers, ensuring that every penny we raise goes towards helping young people fulfil their potential through sport and the arts.
